Chalie has been the district Treasurer for the last 6 years. He has been involved in the AAU since AAU became the grassroots program for USA Roller Sports in 1999. Chalie has received multiple AAU awards over the years. He is a retired Philadelphia FireFighter of 34 years and was the Treasurer of Local 22 Philadelphia FireFighters Union.
